This is a sort of digital garden, or perhaps more appropriately a public rabbit hutch within the confines of my private digital garden. I will store here my modest selection of writing that is actually fit for public consumption or, failing that, just the stuff that isn't completely incendiary. I mean, what else is a hutch good for? Certainly not for housing rabbits!
Nothing I post here is in any real, meaningful order. Take it all 'as is', or maybe just don't take it at all.
Most of the content here consists of blog-post style streams of consciousness that have either been pilfered from my private Commonplace, or, less-likely, that have been written exclusively for the blog. I may post literally anything else, though, or maybe just not post frequently at all. I'm not committing to any kind of posting schedule, not least a 'style' nor 'aesthetic'. If anything, this is an organised, tidy and minimalist webpage intended to host my often chaotic, scatterbrained and disorganised maximalist writing.
Some of this content is completely fictional, some of it completely factual, but most of it is a convenient, nondescript blend of both.
I'm not trying to prove myself, nor showcase anything through this blog. If you find any of my work entertaining or otherwise even the slightest bit interesting, then naturally I consider that to be positive. I don't intend to ever monetise my creative work, not even on the rare occasions it is actually worth reading, so you can do what you want with it. Take whatever inspiration you may find, copy my characters, ideas, poems or storylines â all I ask is that you don't pass it off as wholly your own and you likewise share it with others.
If anything I write seems overly personal, that will be because it is. I don't like to self-censor (though I often agonise over editing) and often this causes an internal conflict when deciding what and what not to publish publicly. I will either publish something or I won't. I won't ever censor something for the sole-purpose of making it fit for public consumption.
ð How is this site hosted?
I am hosting this site through write.as, returning after a short stint of self-hosting and then a brief hiatus from blogging altogether. I bought this cool domain name from netim. I'm neither Moldovan, nor a medical doctor, but I do prefer to format my text in Markdown so I figured a .md TLD would suit my blog-cum-digital-garden very well.
